How Freelance Translators Became Translators Family
Once upon a time, three years ago, to be exact, Oleg and Tatiana were "stand-alone" freelancers: just a small function element of the complicated translation mechanism. As the saying goes: "four eyes are better than two" and this proved to be true in translation, as Oleg and Tatiana produced better quality work together than they could ever have done alone. Oleg would translate, Tatiana would proofread, and vice versa. The joint efforts of these two love-mates and soul-mates were combined in the translation, proofreading and typesetting of “Love for All Eternity” (by the American author, RK Relan), a book about love and relationship, filled with medical and historical facts.
Very soon new clients sought cooperation with Oleg and Tatiana and began to offer large translation projects requiring a lot more than only translation. They asked for desktop publishing, proofreading, quality assurance and more besides... In order to be able to offer their clients the best possible service, the family needed to reach out to their colleagues. They needed the help of other professionals to cover areas of expertise Oleg and Tatiana were not familiar with. They needed picky and pernickety proofreaders to guarantee the highest quality translations. They needed desktop publishers to make the target documents look even better than the source ones.
Thus, the team of Freelance Translators and Editors managed by Freelance Translators and Editors came into being.

Even though our team is growing in size at a rate of knots, widening pool of language professionals, has improved quality and consistency of its services, and has become able to provide much more than only translation, we do not intend to increase our charging rates to the level of most translation agencies.
