You need a sworn translator in Poland whenever your documents will be submitted to an official institution, bank, court, or university. Without a certified translation, Polish authorities may not recognise your documents. A sworn translator is officially authorised by the Polish Ministry of Justice. Their stamp and signature give your translation full legal validity — the same level of authority as a notary public.

Can sworn translations be issued with a digital signature?
Yes. While sworn translations are traditionally delivered as hard copies with a signature and stamp, many sworn translators also use secure digital signatures. These online versions have the same legal validity as paper originals and can be sent instantly by email. However, you should check with your institution to see if they accept a sworn translation with a digital signature. It may not be accepted by some governmental institutions.
Does a sworn translation need to be notarised?
No. A sworn translation is already an official document and does not require additional notarisation. The sworn translator’s stamp and signature are sufficient.
Where can I get an apostille or legalisation of my translation?
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland handles apostille and legalisation of sworn translations. Please note that we don’t provide this service.
How will I receive my sworn translation?
Paper version: Delivered by courier or post within Poland or internationally. Digital version: Signed electronically and emailed directly to you. Both formats are equally valid in Poland.
How much does a sworn translation cost in Poland?
The cost of a sworn translation in Poland depends on the language pair, document type, and turnaround time.
By law, one sworn translation page equals 1,125 characters with spaces (not one standard A4 page).
Prices start from EUR 15 + 23% VAT per sworn page and vary depending on: the type and complexity of the document, the total number of pages (larger orders are priced lower per page), the urgency of delivery, the availability of certified translators for your language combination
Our minimum order value is EUR 20 + 23% VAT, due to the costs of administrative work involved in processing each certified translation.

What is the difference between a sworn and a standard translation?
A sworn translation is an official document with binding force accredited by the Ministry of Justice. A standard translation page counts by word or hour, whereas a sworn translation page is defined as 1125 characters with spaces.
How long do I have to wait to collect the sworn translation I ordered?
Usually, translations are completed within 2-3 workdays (with an order of up to 30 pages). There is also a possibility to order an express translation. Then the price will be higher.
What can I do if there is no sworn translator of a given language in Poland?
If there is no sworn translator of your language in Poland, then the translation can be done by a consul of the country which issued your document. You can also order a notarised or sworn translation in your country from the original language into English, which our sworn translator will translate from English into the target language.
Why does the price per page change depending on the number of pages?
In case of bigger orders we offer discounts, so the more pages there are, the lower the price.
Why must I pay before ordering the translation?
The obligation to pay upfront is connected to the specific service provided. Having chosen a given item at a shop, we have to pay for it before we leave the shop. It is analogous to ordering a service. We want to avoid misunderstandings caused by confirming a translation that has not been paid for.
How much does a duplicate of a sworn translation cost?
Usually, the cost of a duplicate of the sworn translation amounts to 15-20% of the cost of the original translation. It results from the fact that translators keep a record of every copy as if it was a completely new document. They must assign a new identification number to each document, validate it and enter it to the register.
